Registration for the Annual Conference is open. You must be a NYSAFLT member in order to attend the NYSAFLT Annual Conference. If you are unsure of your membership status, please login to the Members Only are of our site to check your account. If your membership is not current, you may renew it separately and then register for the conference, or do so on the conference registration form.

2020 Scholarship Information Available August 10 – Deadline will be September 18
There are TWO types of scholarships available:
Option # 1: NYSAFLT-funded Annual Conference Scholarships (4 full scholarships)
For teachers who have not attended any of the past three Annual Conferences (2016–2018): There are 4 scholarships given annually, divided between 2 categories: Teachers who have been teaching 3 years or less, and teachers who have been teaching more than three years. Each scholarship covers conference registration and will be awarded to world language teachers at any grade level from elementary to post-secondary who are members of NYSAFLT, have full-time world language teaching responsibilities. Winners are expected to attend the entire Annual Conference from Friday through Saturday.
Option # 2: The Mentor Scholarship Program (10 scholarships and 10 stipends)
The Language RBERN at NYU funds ten new-teacher scholarships and ten stipends for experienced-teachers. The ten new teachers are paired with a mentor to help guide them through their first conference experience!
Official Conference Hotel: Saratoga Hilton
The hotel is now open for reservations for our 2019 conference!
Our hotel cut-off date is October 1. After this date the conference rate can no longer be guaranteed.
Parking: $5/day in the hotel lot or free in the public lot across the street (behind the hotel).
- Breakfast is on your own. There is a hotel restaurant and many options in downtown Saratoga.
- Lunch is included in conference registration on Friday and Saturday.
- Friday banquet tickets can be purchased with conference registration. Otherwise, dinner is on your own.

Exhibit Hall Hours:
Set up: Friday, 8:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m.
Exhibits: Friday, 1:30–5:30 p.m.
Exhibits: Saturday, 8:30–11:30 a.m.

Do you have great ideas to share with your colleagues? Consider presenting at the 101st NYSAFLT Annual Conference! Workshop and session proposals relating to the conference theme and/or to topics of general interest to the profession are welcome. For complete details, please see our Call for Proposals 2020.
Car: If driving, set your GPS to 534 Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
Amtrak: There are several trains a day that stop in Saratoga Springs. From the station, just take a cab or rideshare to the hotel.
Bus: If traveling by bus (Greyhound), make arrangements to Saratoga Springs.
Air: There are several non-stop flights daily to Albany, NY. We recommend Uber/Lyft or a cab to get to the hotel.
Parking: The Hilton lot (directly behind the hotel) will be $5 for hotel guests. Non-hotel guests should use the free public parking lot across from the Hilton lot (behind the City Center).
